Our Mission: To provide physical activity specialists with the tools and information to successfully lead dance units that are based in quality dance education while at the same time being relevant, providing rigor and build lifelong learners.

 

Freddie Lee Heath

Freddie Lee Heath (Co-founder) has been involved in dance for nearly 30 years as a performer, choreographer, and as an educator. He has traveled extensively across America promoting quality dance and physical education. A graduate of East Carolina University, Freddie recently completed a Master’s Degree in School Administration from North Carolina State University. He was one of the first dance educators in the country to achieve National Board Certification in Physical Education. He has expanded the curriculum for his district through innovative courses including: Dance in the Media, Dancing like the Stars, Twist & Tone as well as leveled classes in tap & jazz. Freddie has 2 dance groups comprised of ladies between the ages of 65-85 and he is passionate that dance has the power to change & enrich one’s life. He has choreographed across America including the National Museum of Dance and in Armenia for the National Dance Company. He has been featured many times in “Dance Teacher” magazine and was named “Dance Teacher” Magazine’s K-12 Teacher of the Year in 2007 as well as National Dance Association’s K-12 Dance Educator of the Year (DEOY) 2010. He is past president of NCAAHPERD as well as chair of dance education for Southern District AAHPERD.

 
Mark Steward

Mark Steward (Co-Founder) brings a rich background of over 25 years of global marketing and sales in the travel industry. Mark is an alumni of the University of Tennessee with an emphasis on Accounting and Marketing. He is a strong advocate of fitness for life long learning and is proud to have jointly created this project.
